Basement Pumping Station Godalming
Another job completed by the Drainworks team, this time at The White Hart pub in Godalming.
The existing basement drainage setup required upgrading, so we installed a new pump chamber and submersible pump system, including the associated pipework and connections.
With basement drainage, having a reliable pump system is essential to help manage incoming wastewater and reduce the risk of flooding.
The chamber was installed into the existing floor and the surrounding area concreted and made good, leaving the new system ready for service. 👷♂️🔧

Do I need a pumping station?
- The ground level is too low to allow the sewage pipes to travel downwards to the main sewer.
- The sewage pipes pass over a ridge or raised ground.
- The volume of waste from the site is significant enough that a regular system may get overloaded.
- The cost of groundworks to overcome any of these issues would be prohibitively expensive.
- By making use of a wastewater pumping station, you can optimise the transfer of waste in a way that reduces cost and increases convenience.
